Joe Lackey Sr. (1903-1986)

Graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 1936 and practiced in Nashville for 50 years where he won many cases against major insurance companies, recovering awards for Tennesseeans who were having life insurance proceeds fraudulently withheld. Joseph L. Lackey Sr. was a lawyer for the people who vigorously advocated for the rights of the people when corporations wished to deny them of those rights.
